Gold Electric, Inc. started business in January of 1989 and has been in continuous operation since.  We are a C-10 Electrical Contractor with our operations headquartered at 821 Murphys Creek Road, Building A-2, Murphys, California. We are currently licensed for work in California. Our company currently employs fifteen full-time Certified Electricians and/or office staff.

The company is run on a daily hands-on basis by Jim Heryford, President  of Gold Electric Inc. with 28 years electrical experience. Jim actively manages the crews and oversees day-to-day operations along Jim's wife Yvonne Heryford, a corporate secretary with 34 years of accounting and bookeeping experience.

Our work includes public works projects, working with heavy civil contractors on water, waste water, schools, landfills, U.S. Forest Service and multiple municipal agencies. We also perform high voltage work in place of our local utility for developers and other customers with high voltage needs. On the commercial side, we work for multiple wineries, food sercie companies,  local mining operations and a whole range of commercial buildings. We are well versed in the demanding specifications of public works projects and have successfully completed several hundred projects, both as a subcontractor and a general contractor.
